Well at last Dandy women bring it home, what a sensational effort by all the girls beginning with our captain Cheryl Bast who led by example your the best Chez and following that up with our two female allstars Nicole Addamo and Jenny Buckle not to mention the awsome effort by Bernice Cox, Rhonda Hebbard and of course Sharon Dodds who recently gave birth to my Niece came out and won 7 outta 7 games absolutely fantastic! =D>
Congrats to Keon Park on winning the mens and overall your girls gave us a hell of a fight in the last game i must say it was great to come out on top.
thakyou Barbara Carlsson and Paul Bast on your encouragement, support and full belief in this womens team, you said all along we would win and we did :p

And to my hubby you nearly did it, you guys were awsome today you gave it your all, and it was so close well done! A big congrats to Trotts on the highest average your just a machine =D> and well done to Carly and the other allstars =D>

Just to fill in some blanks here are the all star teams for 2004

Mens
Paul Trotter
Justin Lowe
Ekaphon Somkiat
Steven Eeles
Terry Silva

Ladies
Carly Allen
Nicole Addamo
Narelle Baker
Rebecca Robinson
Jenny Buckle

I'd also like to wish a huge congrats to Carly Allen on finishing top in the all stars for the ladies. For those who don't know her average of 218 was roughly 14 pins higher than the next best average for a female. Thats a huge effort for someone in their first year out of juniors.

And well done also to Steven Eeles on shooting what we were told is the first 300 in Dunn Shield. Congrats mate i'm sure it was at least as good as the one you through a couple of months back at Ed Fleming

Dunn shield

Hi everyone

Was interested to observe how quiet the shield was this weekend do you think that is was the layout of the center that killed the atmosphere. I did however think that it was a much better viewing center than many of the others

What can I say congrat's to the Dandy Women you were all awesome this weekend. It was a great team effort and I would like to thank you all it was a pleasure to be part of such a great close-nit team. =D> =D> =D>

To our great mens team you were absolutely awesome today and you showed everyone out there what you are really made of. To my best mate Trotts you were brilliant again how you do it with such a pain in your ear all day I'll never know but thanks anyway!!!

I would like to thank everyone involved with geting our team through the weekend, Paul Bast, Barb Carllson and Lauren Stewart who could ask for better managers!!! To all our Dandenong supporters thank you for making the treck down to Frankston your support means everything to us. To Tony G, Warren, Brett and Tony C thanks for another well run tournament. I would also like to thank all the teams who competed but especially the Boronia team and their supporters for probably the best atmosphere for any game of the weekend.

Finally congratulations to Keon Park for winning overall and mens divisions and runner up in the womens what a great result all round, we knew we had to bowl well to beat you guys. Next year Al its my shout!!!

Congrats to everyone involved this weekend looking forward to next year.

Cheryl Bast

first of all i would like to congratulate the dandy women on winning the performed great.
i would also like to congatulate the keon park men you bowled awesome as a team and stepped up when it counted.
to the allstar teams great bowling on a challenging condition it is good to see some new faces amonst the allstars.
i would like to thank the managers of the dandy team great job.
and last of all i would like to commend almost everyone who competed on the best sportsman ship i have witnessed the fun sledging was great gary.
its just a pity that a certain individual that i had a lot of respect as a bowler before this event had to stoop to a new low to win a point. i think every other bowler at the event would agree that stamping your foot as an oposition is going for a spare to win a game is disgusting and should be condemed.i just wish to state that i had no problem with this bowler before dunn shield unfortunately i received no apology from the bowler concerned and even received a nice forceful bump from one of their supporters as i was walking to pack up my equipment yesterday so for future reference i will never forget this as will all of my teammates.

thanks evryone else for a great event and i look forward to keon park next year.

Finally the Dandy Women have done it!! =D> =D> =D>
We lead all Weekend & I knew that it would come down to the very last game against Keon Park.

Have to say it was a great effort from both teams to keep fighting till the end. Congratulations to Dandy & Keon Park women for a great game that was played on a very hard condition.

I just want to say to all the Dandy Women, Cheryl, Mary, Nicole, Berni, Rhonda & Sharon, Thank you so much for making it the best Dunnshield I have every bowled in. We stuck together all the way through & in the end we were the winners. This is the first time that the Dandy Women have won & we hope that there now can be many more to come.

Thanks also to Paul & Barb for being great Managers & support to us Women, w/out it we couldn't have done what we did.

To The Dandy Men, it was a great come back on Sunday & you shouldn't feel disappointed b/c you were all awesome & you all did the best you could. =D>

Congratulations to the Keon Park Men who bowled so well all Weekend. And to all the Keon Park Team on winning the Overall Trophy. We gave it our best shot, hopefully we can do that one step better in your home centre next year..

Also to all the Teams, It was a great Weekend like always. I'd have to agree with Cheryl that the Boronia vs Dandy game had the best atmosphere that we could've asked for. The noise was deafening, but it really bought out the best in us to fire when we needed too. Can't Wait for Next Years Dunnshield already, Bring it On!!!

Jenny Buckle

GO DANDY ..... \:D/

to all the bowlers to make allstars.s well done.

i don't know anything about the incident that happened..
all i can say is it was great to win the men and overall, but it was also great to be able to sit in the bar after the bowling had finished and have a few drinks with other bowlers. would like to thank grant eadie for the shout. trotts and cheryl you can buy me one next year..

dunn shield is all about trying to bowl your best and win fairly, but also it's about making friends and having a laugh.. so to all those guys in the bar afterwards thank-you for a great weekend and a good laugh..

Alan Notman.

:multi: Congratulations to all my fellow Chadstone bowlers on a wonderful effort on the weekend. It was a sensational effort to finish 3rd in the men fifth in the women and third overall. I think you all earned a little respect over the weekend and proved that Chadstone are not to be taken lightly.

:D Congratulations are also extended to the Dandenong Women, Keon Park Men and to the whole Keon Park team for their win in the combined event.

While it was wet and ordinary outside, the weekend inside the bowl was definately a  hotly contested afair. [-X Apart from a few minor incidents the weekends competition was a credit to all involved.

=D> Congratulations must also be extended to the two Tony's, Warren, Evelyn and the rest of the AMF Team that made it a very smooth running event all weekend.

I would also like to congratulate my team mates in the all star team. \:D/

Paul: It's was great to see you in full flight again although it would have been nice if you sat out against us though as it cost us a clean sweep. Sorry Dandy guys had to mention that!
Justin: Awesome mate! Glad I wasn't bowling in 5 against Keon. Great to see you back bowling events again mate hope to see you at a few more from now on.
Stephen: Didn't see the 300 mate but glad to be in such esteemed company. First in Dunn Shield what an honour to have.
Ekaphon: From reserve to all star in 3 odd days, awesome. Made it easy to bowl all weekend after you did all the hard work mate. Let's make it two years in a row next year.

Carly, Nicole, Narelle, Rebecca and Jenny always a pleasure to watch any of you bowl. \:D/ Congratulations and hope to see you all back again at Keon Park.

:2gunfire: Look out next year at Keon Park CHADSTONE is coming to go a couple of spots better.
