i hope everyone had a good day and look forward to hearing what u thought of the conditions and the format.

The pattern I felt was tougher than the 44ft pattern I bowled on 2 weeks ago. For the first time I played inside on the sport pattern which proved to work well as long as I didn't send it out past 10 at the breakpoint. It held up extremely well, I only moved 2 boards for the 6 games with the exception of lanes 13&14. The scores would have been interesting if we bowled at a centre with poor carry, fortunatly, we didn't.

Thanks to Jeff and Brian for running the event, look forward to the upcoming SPORT series.

As for Team TRACK dominating the skins, I make no excuses, Drewy just struggled a little and didn't hit his form until late. We still ended up miles infront cash wise and thanks to the people who played the brackets, you paid for my ticket to the cricket in Adelaide.

Well Well,
What a turn up for the books hey George. If u say that team TRACK finished miles in front, then how far did team SPLASH finish in front?????I could be wrong (naaa that couldn't happen)but I think we won the most money for the day!!!And as for team TRACK cleanong up.....Well all they cleaned, were the moths from their handbags!!!!!!!!
JEFF as for the condition, I also have to say that I didn't have to move much all day, about 4-5 boards would be it.Started off swinging the ball to far, and anything outside 7 or 8 was washout or ugly. When I stayed inside and played between 15-20 depending on my ball speed I was pretty well flush all the time.
Now thanks to Batsey for this opportunity,to Jeff for organising & running things,to Bean for running the brackets,to my partner Dave (dad) Hardy for making the day enjoyable and finally to GEORGE for dumping me and bowling with somebody who struggled and didn't hit form.Hope everyone had a good day!!

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION!!!

Hi All,

Well it looks as though a good time was had by all. I couldn't get out to watch but as I am going to bowl the sports series I am curious as to the equipment being used on the sports conditions.
I would like to know not just brands but types of equipment (particle etc) and what they are drilled to do.

Thanks in advance

Dale

Have to send thanks to Jeff and Batesy for the day. Also have to say that I can make no excuses either, I just couldn't get going on the day either but I was lucky enough to have a partner that was good enough on the day to carry me (thanks for dumping him George)

As for the equiptment that was used, as far as I could see there was a good variety of different gear in use on the day. It seems to me that it is more important to be accurate and hit what you are aiming at rather than to have the latest bit of gear when you are on a sport condition.

George i thought you would have learnt by now not to contradict yourself on this forum

.NO excuses means no excuses,
icon_biggrin.gif
.To Brian and Jeff thanks for putting on the day,all seemed to go well (except maybe for one unnamed person refusing to believe that sport patterns do exist

Till next time
