DOUBLES BRONZE FOR AUSSIE LEFTIES!!!

Australian lefthanders Stephen Bell and Barry "Jagga" Morgan this afternoon won bronze in the doubles of the 7th Asian Seniors Championships. The two spent a very nervous afternoon waiting the completion of the second squad, having bowled in A Squad and leading all the way. Japan was successful in taking Gold and Silver, and the lefties had to rely on the late charging Phillipinos to make a few mistakes in order to get the medal!

Stephen bowled a 1185 series for 6 games, and Jagga a 1231, total pinfall 2416. They missed the silver medal by 40 pins, and the gold by 62.

The other Aussie pairing of Rod Stewart and Allan Smith finished 13th.

I don't have the ladies scores, but am hopeful that they will be on the official website www.udctan.com asap!
