Got your know/no's mixed up there fella, technically he was a Victorian when he won it I guess, but he is a Queenslander now or soon as far as I know, Im sure he will have loads of fun on the dry QLD lanes, trying out all the Storm dry lane balls

Congratulations George.

Thanks Wayne and all the other people who sent me emails and text messages. It was good to win at home, I've come 2nd in that particular bowling centre more times than I can remember, winning was a relief.

What alot of people didnt know is that I bowled a 300 in practise on the tournament pattern the day before qualifying, not to mention the 300 in league on the Wednesday 2 days prior. If I were a horse, I would have been at evens.

Thanks for the all the bowlers who supported this event, the numbers were a little dissappointing considering out tournament base in Queensland but I have no answers on that problem. The crowd was awesome, hometown advantage got me over the line.

Well done to my staff team member Jarrod, he closed a big gap and had looking down the barrel of another 2nd at that centre. Jarrods an awesome talent and one day soon, he'll be winning National events regulary.

Never the less, the important thing is that it was a good hit out before Thailand this week and I cant wait to get on the plane. Good luck to the rest of the guys and gals heading to Thailand, lets bring home some medals!
