Been away for a few months this year so i missed a bit of a cold snap over winter. Just got my gear out today to go and have a roll on my day off, what do i notice? a huge crack right from the ring finger, through the balance hole, then down into the core. 
We dont see it happening a whole lot in the flesh, but with cold weather its a good idea to make sure you keep your gear stored in a dry, temperate climate.
