Came across this post on the PBA forum. It gives a great insight to early life on the PBA Tour when it was in its infancy, the players of the day, and their equipment and bowling environment. Its mind boggling to see what they achieved with relatively few revs, hard rubber balls and lacquer lanes......
Intermingled within the thread is a history of bowling back to its very roots up to more recent times.
It starts as a reference to PBA Triple Crown winner Billy Hardwick, but it is great reading for anyone interested in our sports background. There are even a few references to our esteemed (?) contributor wchester...... and many humourous references.
Enjoy........
