Dear Brenton Davy
It was nice to have you staying over again this year for one of your many trips to WA.
It makes a nice change that you actually never left anything behind, well almost.
We are quite amazed that our new veggie garden has grown so quick. I will leave them all to grow up and will give you the honor of having a very special vegetable diner when you’re here for the Perth Cup.
It was quite a day, don’t you think. And, I can now do a really good impression of Brenton Davy.
Lots of Love to the wife and kids
Stax

Its funny how some stories just don’t give you the complete picture, maybe someone out there can fill in the gaps.

Dearest Stax,

A garden of nothing but flowers.........come now, what a waste of good arable soil. I blame the barbecue the previous night, Must've been something in the chicken wings. Its pretty bad when a fellow lefty tries to nobble a house guest.............

Well, as punishment, I am coming back for the Perth Cup with the entire family including a teething 14 month old with a temper worse than mine!

Regards,
Brenton and family

PS - Its also equally funny how stories that were intended to remain like the vegies (buried for a month or two) seem to sprout prematurely LOL.

Whatever wrath Mr Davy brings forth on you Stax (in the form of a 14 month old) . . . you only have yourself to blame!!!

LOL

Perth Cup here again

Well its Perth Cup time again and with the frightening foursome coming to stay, (sorry George, you'll have nowhere to hide) I better water up those veggies. Plenty of carrots, beans and peas for you Brenton my boy!!!!
My impression is now perfected and will give the wife a demo. It should be good for a laugh, especially seeing that it will be at your expense.
Now Shelley, Brenton is banned from all forms of alcohol and BBQ’s for the duration of this trip. He is also on full dishes alert, and I have bought a bell to make sure he knows when my beer needs refilling. Any deviation from these rules will mean banishment to the bedroom, with both kids, for a full 2 hours. Walking to the bowl with all bowling balls will also be enforced should I find any other reason for him to do so.

Have a happy holiday, see you soon, Brenton make sure that tail is between those legs when I get you form the airport.

Dear Brenton,

Hope you have the same success at the Perth Cup as you did at Cannington earlier this year, you were truely in awesome form and it was great to see you throwing strikes at will.
I would make the most of it though if the conditions are good cause you have the Melbourne Cup the week after thats if you even bother to come over,if you don't there wouldn't be a lefty in Australia that would blame you.
It hasn't exactly been user friendly to us guys who stand on the other side of the ball, the funny thing is most righty's will tell you that also.Anyway if you do make your way down it's always good to catch up and have a chat.

GO LEFTY,

Paul Francis.

Ahhhhhh Staxy boy.........

You just couldn't help yourself could you?

Ah well, I will continue my calling in life, ie taking the heat off poor George. I am made of stern stuff (even if my gut isn't LOL) and I can take it..........

By the way Stax, how many 300's is that now?????????????????

Paul,

I continue to go to Mooroolbark because I am a stubborn SOB and I refuse to let a bowling centre beat me and I will be there again this year with a new A, B, C etc game for the place. If they don't work, look for me in the 30's or 40's again LOL.

Everyone in Perth be warned, BD is in good shape again.

He shot 740 odd in league last night, just warming up for the weekend.

peas beans carrots

You know what you need Staxo?.....I seem to remember a certain Gold Cup some years ago where we had a good night at the 'Booka Tavern and retired to Hotel Halvorson for a night cap. Stax suddenly disappeared and we found him outside "laughing" at my front garden with my dog assisting in the clean up. Lets just say as fast as it was coming up pooch was sending it straight back down. Now my pooch could can eat just about anything (aluminium cans, half a box of omo to name a couple) so a bit of up-chuck posed no problem. Might have to sit him next to Brenton when I see him on the weekend. Baron

Now then Stax, you should know there are NO secrets in this game LOL. Good part about the 740 was it was in my home centre where I havent really had a shot for the past 12 months.

Anyway, I promise I will be a good boy and the only one likely to tarnish the Davy name is Lee, she might have the odd upchuck on the weekend. After all she is only one.

Well done Brenton but be warned, your mate George is on fire. \:D/
His win in the Garden City Tenpin Cup in Toowoomba was awsome - 240.7 average and included a 1085 4 game block, and a 1324 5 game block. Your 740 is great, but George rolled that and a bit more last night following a higher series against us last week.

I'll have to go for George this time, based on form here and in Darwin and the fact that the worst he's finished over there is 4th I believe. And it is usually more kinder to leftys isn't it? Maybe a 2nd for you this time?

Cheers

Feral

Now that I think about it, Brenton's 746 wasn't really all that good.

After all there was a 300, a 298 (by a guy using his brothers ball) and Brentons partner shot a 296 Tuesday night

Brentons high game was only 266.

And as for sneaking in under the radar...............I agree with STax.

Baron, whats this I hear, Carrots, Beans and Peas a la Araluen.
After a rain soaked 9 holes and the next 3 hours in the bar, I hear one did not make it home.
How dare you pick on me!!!!
