Hi Everyone

Please find attached our latest squad list for Capalaba on 16 October. If you wish to bowl, please advise asap as A squad is full and B squad is filling up, however, there are some spots available.

The ATBSO Nationals were held at Burleigh Superbowl from 2 - 12 September and everyone had a great time. Thank you very much to Kerryanne and her staff at the bowl - they were wonderful. Everything ran smoothly and if you wish to see all the results, they are on the Australian Tenpin Bowlins Seniors Organisation website.

The Queensland teams did extremely well. The restricted women came in 2nd and the men came in 7th with the combined coming in 5th. Our classic team (three men and three women) came in 3rd. The open women WON GOLD and the men were 6th.

The combined overall (restricted, classic and open) champions were QUEENSLAND.

Next year the format to make the state team will be as follows:

The nomination fee will be $ 30 and there will be three (3) roll off tournaments of one squad - 8 games - $ 60. Check in will be 10 am to bowl at 10.30 am.

The dates will be as follows:

Roll off # 1: 19 February at Caboolture

Roll off # 2: 18 March at Aspley

Roll off # 3: 1 April at Logan

To nominate for the state team, you still have to bowl in four (4) tournaments, however the fourth tournament can be 19 February at Caboolture. If you have only bowled in 3 tournaments including Caboolture on 19 February, you will NOT be able to nominate for the state team.

The masters and format will be advised at a later date.

If you have any questions, please place a question on this website or email me at: ann@msqld.com.au

Thank you everyone. See you at Capalaba.

Annie, how many tournaments are there before the first rolloff in February? Is Capalaba considered the first?
cheers POP

Hi Pop

Strathpine in July was our first tournament - from the State Championships - you bowled in the afternoon squad.

The second is Capalaba on 16 October, then the third will be Aspley on 13 November and fourth will be Caboolture on 11 December.

Then we have January for our 5th. February, March and April are our roll off tournaments. However, to allow people to roll off, the committee made the decision to allow the first roll off tournament in February a fourth tournament, if the bowler requires that one.

Therefore, if you do bowl in the four tournaments this year, you will have met the requirements before we resume in the New Year.

Cheers

Annie
