with the acadamey i used to be in we went to fox studios to bowl and they were supposed to film us and put on tv but the never did
i do agree there is NOTHING on tv about bowling

they used to have adults on tv and nothing about juniors

Hey shelby, very rarely do our adults let-alone our juniors get a mention in the media in adelaide. I know bowling isnt a well publicised sport but it is about time that it is. Alot of the nations juniors and adults work their buts off for thier wins etc, they should be recognised for it!

I think that bowling is WAY too under-rated and should be televised more often. If memory serves then the last time anything was televised on free-to-air tv was 2or3 years ago this January for the international skins and I think it is about time more events were broadcast, even if it were only to be highlights.

if lawn bowls, with the highest death rate of any sport in the world (he he) gets more publicity than TPB than there is something wrong with TV stations!
And another thing, if FIQ is recognised by the IOC, then why isnt it an olympic sport??? Sure beats fat guys werestling

i just wanted to mention another thing
the last time i actually did see something about bowling
was about 2 or 3 in the morning when i was flicking through the channels
and that was over a year and a half ago
its pretty pathetic dont u think?

hey if u have pay-tv and can get ur hands on ESPN bowling is on once a week

bozy i have had foxtel for about four or five years ask reese cos when she stays we stay up all nght watching tv and there is never n e thing on

You'll find that Foxtel doesn't televise much bowling anymore but you will see that if you have or can get a hold of Optus Cable, there will be bowling on there. Mainly it is PWBA and it is televised on ESPN in the wee hours of the morning so you would have to get super early or just stay up all night to get to see a bit of bowling.

In Adelaide, AMF has finally taken the initiative to promote jnr bowling. I have heard that they will be advertising in movies, tv, paperetc, even putting in Results in the sports section.
It may not be much but we are on the way.
I was going to ring the Adelaide Paper about it but they have beaten me to it

we sumtimes have stuff in the paper
last year when me my bro and lauren rochester made the central team we were in the paper
and this yr when me lauren kelly young and neil hawkins made the central team again we were on the radio

all i can say is that we are just gonna have to bug and bug and bug them untill they get so anoyed and put us in there!!
the guy that put me and the others in the paper b4 also put my brother in the paper when he bowled his 300 and he is good but i think that he only does it when he need sto fill a spot which ****s
