Big Pond Cable Problems

Anybody else having problems with BP Cable? We are being booted off at regular intervals, its been happening for 2 weeks now.
BP wont offer advice - we use a router and assistance doesnt extend to router users.

I have been having the same problem something to do with the modem not being able to send info it usually occurs when someone in ur area gets it installed and r hogging ur feed, ur provider needs to boost up ur feed in ur area

Typical Telstra then!
I've known several people that have used Bigpoop and have had nothing but trouble with them in the past.
I go with another company for my plain old dial-up and have had constant problems being connected to the net for several weeks now, the company recommended to me that I ring Telstra faults line and get them to do a 'moles test', which they check your phone-line for any problems.
They confirmed the line was earthing out and that the line may have been damaged in a recent gale, and were going to send someone up here on the Monday to check the problems.
Instead of coming up to check it, they rang me to tell me everything was ok now and that it may have had water in it after we had heavy rain and a sea fog roll in the night I had had huge problems with it.
A few days later, dry, sunny, warm, no wind - same problems again

Still haven't been up to check it yet

telstras login software can cause conflicts with routers best bet just delete the login software and let the router handle it all few people i know have had the same problem once they gotrid of the telstra software they had no hassles again routers hate the bigpond software
