Best Ever Messenger

Anybody got any stories of a great, lucky, or unbelieveable messenger that they've got when bowling?

One of the more memorable ones I've had was last night at Aspley, we just got new pins a few days ago, I smacked a high pocket and left the 4 pin, a pin came bouncing off the right wall and took the 4 pin out in mid-flight. Was rather impressive to watch.. can't say I've had too many messengers come from the right wall..

Anyone else got a good messenger story?

Havin' a practice last week and one shot came up half pocket, headpin came off the left wall and slapped the 4 pin across to the 10 while standing straight up for its rather rapid journey.

ok i have a good spare messenger. Left the 2 8 10 in practice at cannington once, went for the 2 8, bowled too quick, just tapped the 2 on the right hand side, went into the wall on the left, had enough speed to come back on the deck, clipped the 8 pin and then went on to carry to 10 pin as well for the spare.

best strike messenger i had, was at forest hill on wednesday night, went pocket for a 9 pin, head pin came off the left wall and cleaned the 9 pin up mid air.

Mate of course you knew it was coming thats how you get all your strikes!! Maybe one day I'll be able to get revs like you and will be able to carry like you

Between you and me, i can remember the 9th frame of my first 300, i hit the pocket light (no revs) and i suppose you can call it a messenger, took out the bucket. WORST STIKE EVER!! just don't tell anybody

I was trying a new line while bowling a couple of games for fun with my wife under UV lights last night (as you do). I hit the 3 square, hammered (I think it was) the 9 off the back of the pit, bounced back to hit the 4 which took out the 7 and the 2 and headpin from behind. It went up on the scoresheet as an X, but even my wife (who doesn't often bowl) jeered at me. I'm not sure that counts as a messenger or just tin ar$e ...

I had a messenger with my Pyro this week that hit the left kickback, went to the right kickback and then slapped the 10 as if it were the 6 pin, but I have seen one much better.

The most amazing messenger I've ever seen was shot by Billy Gardiner. On a brand new astrolane (urethane) surface at Rockdale Bowl, Billy swung it in off 3 board at 19 mph, blew the rack, shot the head pin into the left kickback, then into the right kickback, where it struck the neck of the 10 pin, before flying across into the left gutter... With a polyester ball. Gee I wish I could have called that my own... (sigh...)

That's true.. I saw it.. so I can't argue there.. it was better than a 300
