three free games....
WOW, isn't that generous.

The original post advertising this tournament stated that entries would be taken right up until the start of the tournament. Shouldn't you have at least lived up to your promise?

its better then nothing at all, and they don't have to do anything for them its just a nice thing to do..

The STBL match between Bateau Bay & Lidcombe is scheduled for this date and therefore you were short probably 10 entries due to this event.

Sounded great for a one day event and I hope to be apart of the tournament at a future date.

Regardless of whether they give away free games, which for those bowlers that live outside of Sydney would never use, at least they have given some notice and not just the day before, before deciding to can the event. I think the premise of accepting entries up until the day before would have been based on if they had got probably around the 30 entry mark and not the 20 entries they currently have, and had been able to pick up a few last minute entries. The tournament probably isn't viable to run at the moment.

I was contacted personally to advise of the situation. What can you do if you don't get enough numbers to run the tournament? These guys have had a bit of notice out there that the tournament is being run, yet the entries have been down. Possibly because it clashed with another event? Who knows?

It would just end up like the debacle at Aspley Open last year. I liked the concept of this tournament, its format etc and I hope it gets off the ground at a later date.

I too hope it gets some numbers to run again, I had put my name down, buut also had to pull out, as it clashed with Country Challenge, which is on this weekend also...
