Aspley provided a challenge this weekend for the bowlers of the Tour. 18 of 66 Balls and 17 of 47 Puffs bowled average or better and there was the usual mixture of squads and averages making the money. The Scratch Pool once again proved a success with $460 in the Pool and paid money back ($20) at
9th place from 23 entries.
Glen Radunz from Kingaroy was too good on the day ahead of Nick Cregan who had the highest Scratch Ave. also, with 6 bowlers cashing in both Hcp. and Scr. Nice to see some of the long-time regulars in the money too .... Fred Desmier, Rob Piotrkowski and Ted Frost. Matt Simpson and Mitchell Bird both had 279 games.
Good win for Lisa Parente with Wendy Frost taking a good 2nd place. Alicia Melton had a great weekend - she won the Scratch Puffs, cashed in Hcp. Puffs and won 2 $50 lucky number draws. Alicia, Naomi Allen and Frosty all cashed in both divisions. High Puff games were bowled by Alicia and Tanya Stevenson.
The young bowlers now participating in the Tour are a great asset and hopefully, will continue into the future - we need them! Thanks to Aspley Bowl, the TEAM, the Sponsors and of course, the bowlers.
