The write-ups are even getting smaller in the local paper...
"P.J. Giesfeldt, 23, West Allis, Burnham Bowl, Men's Handicap, seven, eighth, and ninth 300 games for a 900 series."
Nothing at all against PJ, but I was almost embarassed when I heard the news (I was bowling league last night and somebody called during PJ's 10th frame).
The scene was a bit surreal as we were getting the play-by-play last night. Tony Roventini was about ten feet from me, and he was just watching the league on the pair where Margie Wukoman (Mark’s wife) was bowling. In other words, two people connected with the first two 900 series in Milwaukee both heard the news at the same time. They didn’t appear to get a kick out of it.
Another interesting take… this is the second 900 series in Milwaukee to happen while a Green Bay Packers game was on TV. Roventini’s happened when the Packers were playing the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.
