The Grip is a mid range, assymetric, solid reactive that could well become the new benchmark ball in my arsenal. In the AMF/900Global tradition, this ball exhibits a midlane read with strong continuation characteristic, similar to my original 900Global Break. Mine is layed out with a 4 1/2" pin below the grip with a 45 degree Mass Bias and small hole which matches it up well with medium/high volumes of oil. The F64 cover is easily tunable to fine tune the reaction on a variety of oil volumes and lengths.
It has been the main ball of choice in my last 2 tournaments because of the strong, but controllable, reaction which is, for me, paramount on tournament patterns, easy or hard. In conclusion, it is a great benchmark ball, both for tournament and heavier league patterns.
