8th Asian Seniors Champs

I have the schedule in English and have assumed that scores for the singles have not been posted - don't know the time difference !!!!! Just have a nice picture of a bowling ball superimposed at this stage.....

time delay is approx 2 hours (they are behind us)

I am assuming that they will post the scores when all squads are finished, which would be 9ish tonite our time. You should have both Chinese and English options ...I know that I have. At least there are some photos up now!

Just had a call from Animal
and it looks pretty definite that Jenny Walsh has won the Gold for the Ladies Singles
the first squad of our men have bowled but although they bowled well they are not in the top ten - the 2nd squad of men is bowling now
the time difference is exactly 2 hrs behind us
if you click on the Australian Flag you will get the Australian page and there is a great team photo
cheers
Chilly

Jenny Walsh appears to have found the way - and for an Aussie to do so in CT [with what can only laughingly be called a "condition" - at least in my years being involved in major events in that country they sure prove to be experts at fixing things to ensure shut- outs of primary competition to their own "chances" - little is actually left to "chance" I should add] - so her Gold winning effort must be highly rated as one of the best ever in Seniors international performances [or a fluke - and I'd reckon only a cynic would go down that path].

I can only imagine how frustrating it is for the likes of Bell, Sullivan, Benson and others - averaging in the 170's or worse - they know well that they only way to win or at least do better in CT on their "condition" is to throw away the book of logic - I'm here hoping that comes sooner rather than later.

The other alternative of course is to drink a lot of Chivas the night before - and to hell with protocol!!!!

Break a leg team

Well done, Jenny - a great effort from all accounts - I hope you will hold your medal up high in front of your boys!!!!!!! (with the finger included !) and a 205ave. to boot....

they meaning the Chinese......(I thought I had 2 hours to edit????) their exuberance in splashing their first place in the mens singles has not been duplicated for the other results!
an earlier sms message today from CT indicated that the men had not won a placing in the teams, and the women were still bowling their final squad -

Congratulations to Jenny Walsh, who today picked up a bronze medal in the Womens Masters final behind the Japanese. Makes a nice little addition to the Gold medal she won in the singles at the beginning of the week!

A sterling effort by all the Aussies on what has been described as "an interesting" pattern set down by their counterparts in Chinese Taipei. See you all back home!!!;)
