I worked on the Machines when they first Built Southgate, I remember the opining night the machines had trouble returning the Balls, bad belts on the Ball Elevators.

Just no room inside to run a Nationals.

Yeah that's right. It's actually a lot smaller now than when I was first there in the 80s. Always seemed bigger to me when control was facing away from the lanes behind around lane 14

They destroyed Southgate when they did the last refurb
This was once the number 1 Centre in Sydney, which was no real surprise
given Rockdale and Hurstville closed down

The best option in Australia is Rooty Hill
The question is will AMF put the Centre up for tender
It is a huge event to run and given their care factor of F.A.
it may not happen

Spent a lot of my childhood at southgate. It's not the same that's for sure.
