2013 Tasmanian Junior Championships

Just a quick reminder to all our junior bowlers, the Tasmanian Junior Championships are being held at Launceston Lanes on the 16th & 17th February.
On Saturday, championships squads start at 10 am and go right through until 4 pm. Sunday morning there is a Masters qualifying squad at 9.30am and the Open & Restricted Masters check in is at 10.30am.

Results from this weekends Tasmanian Junior Championships attached.

In the Masters final today, 13 year old two handed bowler Fletcher Parsons outlasted his older rivals to win the boys final. Fletcher put together games of 215,208 & 218 in games 5,6 & 7 to draw level with the competition leader Adam Triffitt. Bowling with Adam in the final game, Fletcher showed great composure to hold his nerve and double in the 9th & tenth frames to take the title by 4 pins. The girls final was a close affair with Shay Hannah holding on to defeat Crystal McFerran by 24 pins.

The Restricted Masters final, saw defending champion Malachi Williams victorious by 32 pins from his twin brother Micah. The girls final was another close affair with Adele Youl putting in a big last game of 192 to overtake Joby MCcarthy and eventually win by 58 pins.
