Sorry to be negative about it, but have you put any thought in to it?

Your matchplay doesn't work out and Caboolture already has the Grand Slam Doubles on the same day.

Is it pinfall carry over? How does tri-matchplay work with 20 bowlers (20/3 = 6.66) Is the prizefund guaranteed? How many entries is it based on?

I'll probably still bowl it but come on guys, proof read what your putting out to the public

hi george on the entry form where payout is it says it is based on 55 bowlers and prize fund is subject to change.

Quick break down of the funds without taking any sponsorship into account:

$145 x 55 entrants = $7,975.

Total Prizefund = $4,435. Money left over for game rates = $3,540.

Number of games = 55 x 10 = 550.. + (15 x 7 = 105) = 655 games total.

Game rate = $3,540 / 655 = $5.40 per game.

That sounds about right for AMF.

Also if its there to help with the game rate, are we looking at a $6 tournament rate or is that SOCIAL rate for a multiple of games??????

Yes Ben - the tourney will go ahead but we are definately a long way short of the min 55 entries at this stage.

If you want to bowl, get your name down - will decide mid next week whether the event will proceed.

This event was held on the same day last year at Greenslopes.
Sorry for the clash with Caboolture.

Squad list irrelevent at this point - only 12 names down!
Following your comments, we will revert to 2006 format with 15 bowlers competing in the final over 7 games matchplay with 3 bowlers per pair. Pinfall will carry over. Bonus pins will be awarded as follows: 40 pins for win per pair, 20 pins for runner up and 0 pins for third.
Prize monies will be paid as per entry form based on 55 entries.

However, due to lack of entries we will have to postpone the event to a date to be advised.

greenslopes i would like to bowl but i have to ask y was there no entry forms sent out to bowling centers???????
