2006 ACT Adult Championships

Okay peeps, here's some results...

The text file has all of the results up to the Close of Play today, I think. To be honest I haven't had a chance to do much cross-checking. I'll be sending a copy to each local centre to post.

Meantime, a rundown for all who missed:

It was a BIG day. Lots of strikes. Wow. Strikes the likes of which haven't been seen since Illawarra hosted junior nationals 2004.

First squad up we had Jason Doust shoot 289, tenpin to open (spared), tenpin to close. On the next pair of lanes Greg Piper shot a round 280 too! The very next squad we saw three or four 260's, Drew and Matt both giving the 300 a scare (Drew shot 288, sorry Matt I don't remember!)

It just didn't stop all day, 279, 277, 275, 260's galore, 700's flowing. Yesterday Bateup and Jan shot 1402 as a double (woot), and today it was taken off them with a 1404. The Rachiug boys threw 3200 odd as a team. Just keeps going and going.

Anyhow, check out the text file if you want to see more. There's some huge all events totals in there (Matt's leading Open - 2198 - and I think with only myself still to bowl he's quite safe)

Okay, I'm not going to reinvent yesterdays five results posts, so this is going to be much shorter (my apologies to all who had a good plug in them)

Congratulations to the various trophy champions:
Ray Krueger - Seniors Cup
Brett Byers - Restricted Men
Angy Campbell - Restricted Women
Rebecca Allen - Ladies Masters
Brett Smith - Mens Masters

Big day in masters, Mike threw himself a nice 300 second game of the first round, Dale Simpson threw 2x 270+s to earn himself a place in the top four.

Attached is the carnival results in as much as they are.

Just looking through the results there is a female classic doubles that I think should be a mixed doubles.

Yeah, fixed that. Was originally Rosie Willis in there for Bryan.

Correct, Bryan is official recognised as Male, making his doubles with Sarrah a "Mixed" event.

Note the Mens masters finals is on two sheets, as the elimination playoffs are on the "scoresheets" tab.
