2005 Northcote Championships
Its getting to that time of year again and the Northcote Championships are just over a month away.
For all bowlers who haven't participated in the Northcote Championships before i will give a bit of info as to what they are all about.
The Northcote Championships are now in their 42nd year and give bowlers from throughout melbourne the chance to compete in numerous events over 3 weekends in November.
The championships begin on Saturday November 12 with the Lee Francis Memorial Opening Squad and continue through the next two weekends till they conclude with the Ron Francis Memorial Scotch Doubles on Sunday November 27.
During the weekends inbetween these two events bowlers have the opportunity to compete in Singles, Doubles and Teams to complete their All Events scores as well as being able to participate in other special events such as 9 no tap events and Adult Junior Events as well.
The championships always culminates in an exciting final day with our 3 Masters Champions being decided on the Sunday morning before the Ron Francis Memorial Scotch Doubles. The Masters Divisions are Open Mixed, Handicap Male and Handicap Female with the winners of each division taking home $500.

3 Divisions - Mixed Open, Mens Handicap and Ladies Handicap
Prize Money for All Divisions 1st $500, 2nd $200, 3rd $100
Top 10 Qualifiers in each division (including current champions) go through to final.
All Qualifiers for Adult Masters must bowl at least 3 events in the championships to Qualify.
Final Held on Sunday November 27th, Check in Closes 10:30 AM Sharp
Cost of Final $45.
