2002 Brunswick Australian Cup - well done!

Hypercell = Hyperhook!
To Roy, Scoops, Steve Jones and all the people who assisted in running this event, well done! The conditions were great, the service was impeccable and the overall running of the event close to perfection. With 97 entries, they still paid to the prizefund which was based on 120 (thanks to Brunswick and Roy). The best bowler on the weekend Tony a deserved winner.

Yes my bowling wasn't that good this weekend but change is on the horizon and it takes time. Another well covered event by totalbowling.com.au . If you haven't already check out the interview's under the 'multimedia' section of the live scores, check them out, they are great!

If you only bowl 1 National event in 2003 make it this one, you'll have a great time. Scoops, better put me down for B squad 2003, I'm there!

Well George, you beat me to it! First of all, i would like to congratulate Tony Murray on a well deserved win, he bowled well all weekend and got the result he deserved, also to the other place getters- Andrew Lloyd and Jason Walsh. I also want to congratulate everyone involved in running The Brunswick Australian Cup. It was the best run tournament i have been a competitor in. I cant remember any lane break downs or any large queues at the cafe. Everyone was attended to as first priority. As George said, the conditions were great and the lanes, and centre have been kept in great condition. Scoops, you did a great job all weekend. Not only did Scoops run the tournament, very successful, he was always walking around cleaning up the centre and helping the cafe as much as possible. Great work mate!! On a final note, George couldnt have put it any better, if theres one nationals tournament you bowl in, in 2003 it should definately be The Brunswick Australian Cup. I will definately be there again. That will be it from me for now.

well done is for sure

I would also like to congratulatye all involved at the weekend. Scoops, Steve Jones, and Roy a very well done.

Scoops to you and to your staff, you have continued the great name of the tournament by still paying the prize find as george said. AMF should have a look how you run your tournament.

I will be definatly coming back next year so pencil me in.

Till next time

have a great xmas, and again a job well done

CONGRATULATIONS

Firstly I would like to thank all competitors for making the effort in bowling what is a great event on the Aussie Calender

There were 24 bowlers in the Skins on Friday which was fantastic and by the looks everyone had a fun but serious time

Squad A fielded 14, Squad B 44 & Squad C 36 entries respectively (94 in total)could see the scoring was high and the cuts were not going to be that easy to make

Tony Murray was an outstanding winner and thouroughly deserved his win. To all other placegetters congratualtions.

I had 3 incentive awards to give out, which wasn't to be an easy task

Natlie Shelley and Sally Kerr received a Melbourne Cup Spot in 2003, Michael Zentveld received the Perth Cup 2003 spot and i couldnt help but give a Brunswick Spot to Glen Loader
All 4 conducted themselves in an outstanding manner all weekend, as did all competitors.

Personally I would like to thank sincerely Graham Williams from Total bowling who by all accounts did another outstanding job of running the event over the Web, thx Graham

To Ian Nicolls, if you havent yet seen Ian's score keeping prowess's well then you have surely missed something special.
Ian I thank you as without your efforts my weekend would have been alot more hectic, just dont see how it could have run without you being here.
And to all other tournaments out there who dont use Ian give him a call drop him a line and get him at your next event.

To STEVE JONES, RON BICKERSTAFF & ALAN CHAN from BRUNSWICK a HUGE thanks to you 3 gentlemen. Without your continued generous support this event would not be the great success it was.
The field was based on 120 entries and we received 94, however the prizefund WAS NOT adjusted and that thanks must come from us all to those fine men at Brunswick.
Alan Chan a visitor to our shores arrives first thing Saturday morning and worked tirlessly amongst all bowlers, not just competitors that weekend but to alot of my League bowlers and I thank you for that Alan. He left dinner on the Sunday night to go back and watch one of my juniors bowl league and lend a hand, now thats dedication, really REALLY hoping you will be back next year Alan.

Finally to all my staff from in the Restaurant, to the Tech's, the reception staff, lane marshalls and my juniors who tirlessly kept the centre clean, thanks guys for a fantastic weekend, again making my weeend run that lot smoother

I look forward to seeing you all return to what will be a bigger and better Brunswick Australian Cup

Finally I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Healthy and safe NEW YEAR

regards

Alan Skupin
