1st 200 games bowled in Griffith by juniors

I would like to congratulate Matthew Watson for being the 1st junior in our city for bowling a 200 game in game 2 in his Sunday Family league. Matthew has been bowling in our centre since it opened 2 years ago and bowls with his dad. Just over 24 hours later, Nicholas den Houting became the 2nd junior male to bowl a 200 game, with 203 in his 3rd game for Monday Mixed league. For a centre that doesn't have a strong junior base (as yet), has only been open for a little while and with no coaches either (also being worked on) these scores are fantastic to help motivate junior players in our reigion, to either become better bowlers or actually view bowling as a sport and notjust as a social past time

Hopefully in a few yrs we'll be reading about the first one to average 200 for a year, should be plenty more 200's on the way now the kids know its possible

not to mention that there could even be a 300 shot there one day good luck to all the juniors and well done to to the ppl that got the 1st and 2nd one

Well taker you were spot on with what you said, cause Nicholas also bowls in the Wed Mixed league with his father, and went on to beat his 203 game with a 211 in the 3rd game the following wednesday...fantastic work, and it was so good to watch, must also mention that the same night he bowled his 1st ever 550 series
