DETAILS:
Just a simple scratch tournament open to any bowler. 10 games scratch, costs $95. Winner is decided on highest scratch pinfall over the 10 games. WINNER TAKE ALL prize of $500-00. Its as simple as that really. (based on 20 entries - the more the better :))

Feel free to book your name in for the tournament. Details are above. Call the bowl on 3350-1177 to reserve your spot now.

Game rates

If people do their maths they will work out that AMF are charging $7 a game is that the normal going rate for games in your centre!!!

Most people would be donating their money.

Good Luck to all who wish to bowl

10 games for $22 sounds like better practise for me at my local bowl. :wink: Good luck to the bowlers and donators.

Evening all,

I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to all. The previously advertised price of $95 for the tournament is actually incorrect. The fee for the event should be $75-00, and is an error on my behalf before hand, and not the centre's.

Once again, the winner take all tournament is $75-00 not $95.00

well jl that will make all the difference, lets look at the figures based on 20 bowlers

20 x $75 = $1500
20 x 10 games = 200 games
prizefund = $500
left over = $1000
games =200

that makes $5 per game for a tournament not bad money if u can get it !!!!!! but don't hold your breath waiting for 20 bowlers to show up. :x :x :x

just for interest jl how much do u charge a bloke of the street for 10 games ???

JL

I'm not trying to dis-credit your tournament, I for one encourage all tournament play for the better of the sport BUT you got to look at the value from a bowlers point of view

20 bowlers @ $75.00 = $1500

Payout = $500 only to the winner

Game fee's = $1000 (which equals $5.00 per game)

Now compare that to the Cannonhill Cup payout where for $95 you can win $750 and where 30th place is $95??

It's not rocket science, bowlers want value and honestly you'd be hard pressed to find value in that format and costings you have listed.

Good luck in filling your event, see everyone at Cannonhill this Saturday.

Yes guys, now that I have looked at it a little more closely, it does look a bit exy in terms ppg. (price per game)

At the time, all I was doing was doing my job by advertising a new tournament that another employee had set up. To me it looks like a good, quick tournament where someone could walk away with a few $$$. That's how I saw it at first

I'm not going to agree or disagree with anyone here. But one thing I know I will be doing is listening to what you all have to say, and perhaps do something about it. Most of you may not like who I am, but I am here for the sport, and the company, but most of all for our customers.

As for the time being, the tournament is as how it stands. $75-00 for 10 games scratch, winner take all.

Jason

thanks for the reply jason , maybe it is not u who needs to listen but the person setting up the tournament. amf is doing a great job at cannon hill this weekend and the numbers should be good.

JL,

It probably wouldnt hurt too much to co-ordinate tournaments and events with Graham who looks after the QLD Regional Circuit. Graham is there to help and is doing a great job with tournaments around Brisbane.

Graham with the help of others have managed to put the word 'communication' back into the AMF language which many centres lost for a few years in Brisbane.

We are all here to help and don't be afraid to bounce some ideas off the bowlers here as well. Once again, good luck in your endevours in filling your event. See all the 60+ bowlers this weekend at the Cannonhill Cup.

3 games practise at Kedron is 12.95 go figure!
