My two pence.... I think the issue is money... National tournament with a first prize of $3,000 means interstate bowlers have to win to cover costs. As for the local bowlers, entry fees of between $250-$300 for these types of events can be a bit daunting when they won't cash if a dozen...

The plot thickens, I am told that WTBA adopted the same rule as of 1 January 2015, so by default so did TBA but they haven't updated the rulebook yet... Certainly leaves the issue hanging from what I can see, but I don't think any two handed bowlers can be penalised while the rules aren't updated

Yeah, I agree, I note that in many Asian countries they helicopter bowl, sometimes with thumb only in the ball. Does that mean they are illegally bowling with two balance Holes? I guess the fact that their scores are relatively low means that they're not a threat so no need to change.the rules...
