Greg, The condition put down was very similar to the one laid down for the 2009 Asian Zone Seniors Championships in Manila. Whilst I agree that it is not a condition for a nationally ranked tournament, it is ideal for those players competing at Asian Zone Seniors level.

Fitzy, ONe thing that will help you on this type of condition is to use a low flaring layout ball. Something like a 1" -1 1/2" pin to PAP which effectively takes the core out of the equation and smooths out the backend reaction. I prefer this layout to 5 1/2" + to PAP as it is less likely...

John, the lines are irrelevant. if the hole is not used for gripping, the static weights are taken from the point between the inserts, ie between the finger holes.

ET. That hole does not have to be covered or used as it is effectively a weight hole. That hole only becomes illegal if there if there is another hole. IE If that hole shown is not used as a weight hole AND is not gripped or partially covered AND there is another hole.

Ball 1 looks like it has been drilled for a 2 hander, no thumber. As a result the hole is not used as a grip hole and the statics are measured from the middle point between the 2 finger grips. The 3rd hole is purely to bring the statics back to legal. Ball 2 would see the statics measured...
