Depends on the type of 10 pin you're leaving... Ringing 10's... after maybe 3.. Might move deeper by 2-3 boards to lessen the entry angle. Flat 10's... maybe the same, but worried to move, because if you are lined up pretty good, the occasional flat 10 usually means there's a five bagger...

I almost NEVER use a surface out of the box... I want to use something that I KNOW I can recreate down the track. Most of OOB surfaces are almost impossible to recreate exactly on a normal spinner.

I know Patrick Birtig used to run drilling courses for TBA, however I'm not sure if they're still happening. I remember doing it about 6-7 years ago, so I had a piece of paper saying I was accredited, but there is a lot more to drilling than just doing that course.
